Boxes? (For baitcon packing)

When our landlord repointed the basement, he got rid of - and rightfully so, really - the large collection of boxes down there.

Baitcon's upon us though, and before I go to uhaul tomorrow to buy a pile to pack in to, I thought I'd see if anyone had any immediately available.

I really don't know how many I'm looking for - I'd guess 15 each, small and medium, but I'll take what I can find right now - in good shape only, please.

Let me know soon, please?

Thanks!

I really wish we had a teleporter. It would make so much of this easier, starting with the fact that I've got about 12 really great (empty) boxes sitting here. Miss you, bunny.

Pandemonium usually has lots of boxes for the grabbing on the weekends since a load of shipments are regularly on Thurs/Fri. Call them to make sure no one got enthusiastic with recycling.

Try a liquor store. They usually have a stack of boxes (but usually no lids).

[livejournal.com profile] 76trombones has lots and would be happy if you took some of them away! The only problem is, she's at my place tonight and not hers. But you can call/email her tomorrow, if that's not too late. (There's currently a stack of flattened boxes, maybe 2' tall total, in her living room, and some of them look to be in very good condition.)

Having also recently moved X-country, I have empty flattened boxes in my living room. Catch is, thats in New Hampshire, which may be less than convenient for you. email me at the normal place if you still need them.

There are probably plenty at my mother's house, but I won't be there until tomorrow (Sunday) night.

We have some in our basement... not sure how many, if you're interested (and Malden is convenient) I'll take an inventory.

Now, if only you'd have said something 5 days ago, we could have had the movers -not- ship all our boxes to CA. :p Alas.

NESFA has a bunch of plastic flip-top lid storage and shipping bins that are eventually going to be the standardized container of all thing NESFA, but right now there are bunches of them in the basement of the clubhouse. If you are going to return them more or less intact, I'm reasonably sure that they are borrowable. If you go to RKov's place tomorrow (sunday) where nesfa is having it's other meeting, there will be the right people there to grant official permission, and a keyholder to let you in to get them.

Well, you've had lots of offers, but if you still need boxes...

The Picnic has a pile as tall as a basketball player in the hallway outside of our shop. Since the building is open before we are and we close it out, they are essential grab-able (no asking needed) from 9am-9pm daily (and til 10pm on Wed/Thu/Fri/Sat).

They're just the smaller boxes (imagine a stack of comics about 10 inches high, side by side, with a bit of finger room all around) since the larger ones stick out in the hallway and piss everyone off...
