Boston-area 'cool clothes' shopping

So, where do (female) people go around here to buy their goth/retro/clubbing/vintage-styled clothing?

Asking for someone else on my friends list who's despairing of Boston's ability to provide.

given that i do almost all my clothing shopping in boston... i'd say there's plenty.
hootenanny, garment district/$-a-pound, plus the various goodwills and salvation armies (including the huge salvation army which is in some town near here which i'm currently blanking on.)
poor little rich girl, and there's a bunch of other clothing stores like it in harvard square -- there's one on arrow street (which also sells antiques, but i've found some very good clothing there) and of course oona's...

Are you thinking of the Salvation Army on Route 1 in Saugus? It's pretty darn huge.

yes! thank you, i knew i was some random town i don't ever go to for any other reason, on some single-digit local highway route, but couldn't remember the name.

i need to go back there.

we should go sometime -- i suspect we're close enough to the same size that shopping together would be useful and practical (not to mention, er, fun? :) ).

well, there's "useful and practical" and "liable to squabble over the same items" :)
but i actually suspect enough disparity in styles and color preferences to make it not a problem.
sadly i'm only available weekend days, really -- i don't suppose you're free saturday? :)

Oona's! I haven't been there in forever.
