So...there's this piece of music that a group of people want to identify, so they can all go out and buy legitimate copies of it. (Stick that in your fucking pipe and smoke it, RIAA)

I have friends with widely eclectic musical tastes. I enjoy challenging my friends. :)

So, here you go.

To make it much easier, there is some belief that at least some of this track is by Paul Mounsey from his Nahoo albums. However, I don't have any of these and am unable to find sufficient sample to link any of this piece with any of his stuff.

The piece can be found at http://www.lse.org/~jailbait/01-Techno-Nahoo.mp3

Warning: Contains bagpipes. Also techno-y parts.

No clue, but I think I would like to know.

A friend suggests "It could be Roddy MacDonald, but I'm not sure which album. RS is known to do many a strange thing with pipes, funk, techno and chopsticks."

Maybe that will help, or maybe it will hinder.

I think I'm also curious... and I keep thinking that it's bits and pieces of at least three different pieces...

... although when you consider that I started with yanni, moved over to ashley macissac, and an overlay of techno beats... I'm not sure that you should take my thoughts on it too seriously :)
