Quite seriously, I'm tempted to get:
An Old Testament
A New Testament
A Koran
A Book of Mormon
A copy of the Sutras
A copy of The Kojiki
... and basically one from each category on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Religious_text
and wrap them in an American Flag and burn the whole fucking lot of them.

{sigh}

Really, I've gotta get better about the feeling that, on any given night that I've got nothing happening and that others are not similarly at loose ends, that I'm being actively excluded from whatever it is that's happening.

Sadly, though, it's not nearly that easy, esp. when some of those things that are going on are things I'd really like to be included in.

I know... Space and invitation lists are not infinite, there are many things I'm NOT excluded from, and so on... but still, it's not easy.

Does anyone still sell anything on ebay by _Auction_ anymore? The last {N} things I've looked up have all been "Buy It Now!" only.

WTF's the point??

... and, while I see a way to limit my searches to ONLY BIN sales, is there any way to exclude them?

Please don't answer this one unless you're sure.
Feel free to run out to your nearest ATM to check. I'll wait.

Just because it's raining over every inch of CT that I'd be driving through, I've decided not to go to the show tonight.

I'm probably going to regret it for the next N years until they come back to the east coast, but I'll survive.

... Unless someone steps up to drive with me in the next 10-15m?

Uncle Bonsai are performing in Purchase, NY (Near where 15/Merritt Pkwy/Hutchinson River Pkway hits the NY/CT border).

I haven't seen them since about '88.

I love them.

However: There's a LOT of rain between here and there (ok, at the moment CT is fairly dry, but PA/NJ are very wet and it's all heading NY/CT-ward), and the tickets are $30.

I really shouldn't do this.

Right?

... especially not alone...

This is long and mostly grumpy. There's one interesting bit in the middle, surrounded in bold text. )Next week's schedule:
Weds: 2 shows, inside
Thu: 2 shows, inside
Fri: 2 shows, outside
Sun: Standby. (This means: Show up. You'll be paid for at least 2hours, even if you're sent home in 30m.)

So, [livejournal.com profile] quietann, [livejournal.com profile] deguspice, [livejournal.com profile] gilana, see you there.

[livejournal.com profile] dancingdeer, we'll have to reschedule...

A) AC Repair places that make service appointments 20 days in advance and then /FORGET/ - or claim to - that they ever did such things.
They say they'll be here NEXT Saturday. Bastards.

B) Having to split your stuff when packing, half for storage, half to move in with you for the next year. It more than doubles the packing time.

C) Having to do so when it's 94+degrees out and you have AC ONLY in the Living Room, thanks to A.
