St. Patty's Day!
Mar. 7th, 2003 12:05 pmTypically speaking, 3/17 is pretty meaningless to me...I have no irish blood, I'm not Catholic and I'm not notably fond of beer - green or otherwise.
However, Boiled In Lead has played an annual St. Patty's day show at 1st Avenue in MPLS. This year is #21.
...and Kimberly and I will be there!
Who else is going?
Jan: Want to do lunch?
(We'll be getting in Sat afternoon and leaving Tues. morning.)
Yay. Lead-y Goodness. As well:
"Todd Menton & Joe Kessler are confirmed to appear, + we are brewing
up more guest spots.
Opening acts will be Folk Underground (Fabulous Lorraine [of the
Flash Girls] new band), Tim Malloys and of course the Minnesota Pipes
and Drums."
Woo Hoo.

The only time I ever had the pleasure of seeing BIL live...
Date: 2003-03-07 11:49 am (UTC)That was one hell of a good time. Honestly I think that ranks pretty highly in my top 5 favorite elbows / suspects events of all time :)
(The Rancho Apocalypse housewarming is in there too :)

(Lessee; Wooden Leg, Atzilut, Sunday's Well, ex-Boiled In Lead, what else?)

Date: 2003-03-07 03:21 pm (UTC)Another interesting connection there: it was through Jimmy Ryan of Wooden Leg that I was introduced to Mark Sandman and eventually became a Morphine fan.
(Those are the same bands I know of. I know he's done a couple of other things, but nothing big that I've heard about.)
