There's one in there that just struck me...
"netrition.com"
I had the thought: Netrition...is that were, one by one, the .coms die, leaving only a few standing?
Yeah, ok, one should really spell it 'nettrition', but that's not as elegant...of course, it'd be better if netrition.com weren't still in business...

that's funny...
Date: 2003-07-15 10:08 am (UTC)They have the most low-fi site I've ever seen, it didn't even have a secure ordering system (you called them with a credit card number).
However, I'd give odds that one of the reasons *why* they are still in business is that they are a very low overhead business, never spent $100K for a bloated flashy website, and are selling a product that people actually still buy (diet supplements, protein stuff, etc.)
Same with another vitamin company I used to frequent. www.vrp.com - a "functional" but far from pretty site.
