Sad Store Closing News, NYC
Oct. 16th, 2003 02:09 pmToraya, the oldest confectioner in Japan, ( http://www.toraya-group.co.jp or http://www.toraya-america.com ) is closing their NYC Tearoom and retail store as of 10/31/03.
I strongly suggest that anyone who hasn't had the pleasure take advantage of this wonderful shop while they still have the chance.
I hope they decide to reopen something in the states when the economy and ruling cadre change for the better.
(No, I have no idea why they're closing, but the letter they sent said "We will try our best to re-establish our business in New York at some time in the future.")
