wow. The folks at my favorite lunch truck still recognize me, from a distance, as I'm walking by. Last a regular 2y ago.

but do they remember tyour regular order? Regulars can be awesome since you can start their order as you see them coming. I remember the orders of some regulars from 20 years ago.

it has now passed on to that great Restaurant Heaven in the Sky, but I used to regularly go to Be Bop Burrito in The Garage. Always got the same, the chicken burrito with extra guac. Mmmm. Then I moved to Raleigh, and about a year and a half later, I came back, had to get me a burrito...and when I walked in, the guy behind the counter shouted, "You! Kinko's! Chicken and Extra guac?"

Harvard Square/Central Square was the last place I lived that felt like I lived in a *neighbourhood*.

Better still, I've had the same guy at the three different Anna's Tacqueria's remember my order, no matter which part of the city we were in. Not just a regular to a company, but to a specific staff member.

Isn't it nifty?

:D I went to a wedding last year where, by the third time I went to the bar, the bartender had my tonic-and-soda waiting for me before I got there. Either that's an odd drink order, or I'm remarkably cute.

waitaminnit...
