I believe there is PGPdisk for both. Whether the images can be shared between the platform is another question.

you might be able to make cfsd run under OS X. It may or may not meet your
requirements for an encrypted filesystem. (Yes, it runs under Linux)

That run on both? What are you trying to achieve? Do you want to secure data, secure data access? What's the threat model you're trying to address?

I want a reasonably low overhead method for encrypting the stuff on a USB keyfob... my figuring is that a single authenticate on mount is the best way.

Sounds like you're aiming for NTFS (or iso9660) to have a filesystem that they'll both cope with... which limits your options pretty notably.

Current state of NTFS on Mac OS X compatibility is read-only, although it's possible that 10.4.x has changed that, I've not tested recently.
