Date: 2006-12-14 07:04 pm (UTC)The couples are usually pretty flexible when you tell them ahead of time. Freaked out brides really are a handful.

Date: 2006-12-15 01:35 am (UTC)When Norman and I were getting married, he got a book out of the Princeton seminary library that was an anthology of marriage ceremonies from many different traditions. Unsurprisingly, we liked the two Unitarian ones best. :-)
So there's at least one book out there that has lots of ceremonies of lots of different kinds.

I wouldn't call it a 2nd job, more of a side-light hobby at this point - 8 weddings in 2 1/2 months isn't exactly a living - but it's been more fun than I ever expected.
I hope to unlame and write more about it eventually.
