I won't be at Arisia.

Remember how my company took us all to Las vegas Last year? This year we're going to Mexico. Unfortunately, we're going to Mexico over Arisia weekend.

I spent a great deal of time waffling about whether I should go or not. In the end, I decided to.

I will be sad to miss Arisia. Really. I expect I'll enjoy myself anyway, but still...

I head out Thursday and get back (assuming a lack of Traditional Arisia Blizzard(tm)) on Monday.

Hey, do you still have any interest in adopting that scanner from us? We could bring it to the next HotFoods party if you want it. The computer it connects to is also on its way out of the house, so the scanner is now completely useless to us.

BTW, I've got a pair of friends whom I would really like to invite to Baitcon this year, if that's okay. silverbackbutch and her wife R- are cross-connected to you via a whole bunch of other people and I know that they would have a blast at Baitcon and meet lots of people they either know or know-by-reputation. Currently, they are living in Ohio while they both teach at a University (religion and theater). If you are willing to extend an invitation to them, either let me know so I can point them your way offline or drop a comment to silverbackbutch and introduce yourself.
