When someone sits next to you at the sushi bar and is reading Jane Eyre, it's pretty much a moral imperative to push The Eyre Affair upon them. From this duty, I do not shirk...

It was just on Masterpiece Theater....previous to that I had not read Jane Eyre (bad English major). It was amazingly readable. So point me at the Eyre Affair

I have added this book to my must-read list. Yay for flists! Thanks! I can't believe I haven't heard of this book! Looks like much more fun than Wide Sargasso Sea to satisfy my craving for post-modern Jane Eyre meta-fiction, aka making fun of Jane Eyre.

I love the Thursday Next books! Norman only likes them okay; he likes the nursery crimes series better. I haven't met many people who've read JF, and I'm glad that you have! The Shakespeare vending machines slay me. :-)
