The very merry and happy residents of GLSE would like to invite you and yours to join us for our annual Holiday Open House on Wedneday, December 28th, 7p.-Midnight.

Eat, drink, be merry, make origami, enjoy conversation, check out the kissing ball, play games, etc.

There will be plenty of origami paper for various creations, hot cider, eggnog, Glogg, tea, soup (both veg and carnivore), hot bread, veggies&dip, etc.

We know that some of you may be may out of town or traveling or away and that this date conflicts with a few birthdays (sorry!) but we'd love to see everyone who has the time and inclination to stop by ...

A few disclaimers:

*We are a multi-adult mulit-celebratory household. As such, you will find a Christmas tree, menorahs and a yule log on display. This gathering isn't about a particular holiday but if the mere sight of such things offends you, we will cheerfully offer you a blindfold or bid you adieu.

*We will be lighting a second menorah around 7:30-8p. for those who might enjoy lighting and singing with us.

*Yes, this coincides with OPN

*We are a non-smoking household. This includes our upper-level porch.

*We have two indoor cats. Medicate accordingly, don't let them out, don't chase them.

*Our house welcomes people of all sizes/ages but isn't child-safe so please keep an eye on your little ones.

Hope to see you there!

So, remember this bit of breakfasty food porn?

It's just as good as you'd think it would be, even when made at home. Wahoo!

(That's something I have to not do very often!)

My foot

Wow. I totally forgot that my foot 1st started acting up (in this latest, non-gouty way) around 10 months ago.

Oy.

(I just got preliminary bone-scan results from my GP. The podiatrist is on vacation. :/
There's no fracture around the 4th or 5th metatarsal. This IS something on my 3rd. It's not clear what. GP notes that he's NOT a foot specialist and I should talk to Podiatrist, which I intend to do ASAP (maybe tomorrow??). I'll be at squares tonight, but I'm not going to dance until I get more info.)

Anyone in MetroBoston - ESPECIALLY either who can come to MIT tonight or who is coming to our openhouse tomorrow - have a degausser/bulk tape eraser I can borrow? I've got this stack of DATs that need to zero'd.

If you do, could I borrow it for a day or 2? (If you're not going to be at either place, let me know where you are and when I can come by to pick it up...)

Thanks!
