Hiram J. McLendon was my favorite teacher in my 4 years of NYU. I came across my notes from his 'History Of Modern Philosophy' class while packing tonight and I decided to google on him. Fuck. We were in the same damned city for who knows how long and I never tried before now to find him. Fuck.

Thank you, McLendon, for many afternoons of interesting discussion over 1-200 level philosophy, and for never making it seem like it was just a job, but instead something you really cared about. Yours, Segal.

Sorry, babe. Just what you need - more suck to think about. I think you've got enough at this point, really.

Strange coincidence, too. I did a quick google search on his name as well just now, and a few items pop up in reference to the book "Wittgenstein's Poker". Which I have sitting in front of me right now, as it was just found for a patron here at work.

Oh that's been said already. Well, suck it up and get a redundant hug anyway.
