One problem..
Dec. 14th, 2002 01:56 amwith memes that require reader response...is you're going to completely dilute your chances of getting any responses if you all post the same thing at the same time...only one person should post a given "Tell me about me" survey any given week. If someone else just posted it, let it sit for a while before you post it, elsewise, how are your respondants going to decide who should get their valuable time for a response?

Date: 2002-12-14 07:57 am (UTC)do I want to just cut and paste a meme but expect unique feedback, that took significantly more time and consideration than my role of propogating a meme, or else I will declare myself clearly someone for whom they don't give enough a damn?
Re: the questions you ask yourself first
Date: 2002-12-14 12:47 pm (UTC)in my own tiny experience of this, more people have responded to the question-meme than typically respond to my original posts. i'm not surprised, since my original posts are rarely so specific in providing the reader with something to do; there's more of an investment required if they have to figure that out for themselves.
in my own tiny value-system, i appreciate both kinds of responses.

generally, answering the questions don't prove much in terms of emotional stuff, other than someone is bored, or, more likely, avoiding some other task.
wanting responses I understand, which is why I responded at all.
