Seriously though, are you bored for lack of things to do, bored because you have no burning interest in anything in particular or bored for no particular reason other than being bored? (All I can think of is the _Young Ones_ episode with Vivian wandering around smashing things saying BORED BORED BORED BORED *BORED*!)
Working very full time of late (layoffs, more layoffs, and no replacements, and more work :) has shifted my perception of boredom from something that just hits, like the flu or a cold to something that's almost a nostalgic luxury :)
If I had large blocks of spare time, I would exercise more, take Yoga, read some excellent books - It's hard, for me anyway, to really digest something like _Black Elk Speaks_, _The Pillars of Zen_ or _The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich_ when my day is regimented to the max by a busy job and sleep much less spare time is a rare commodity.
I'd also get out more, just out around town and even out around the region (Which can be done very much on the cheap if you've got time :)
If I were bored at work I'd get involved in a kick ass open source project and make a name for myself in the sub-specialty of my choosing.
Just my perspective, I realize everybody's situation is different and none of this may apply to any given individual.
Or to be more pedantic about it...
