Career Aspirations at Age 6: Garbageman and Postman on the days that Garbagemen don't work.

No kidding! I wanted very much to be a garbageman as well when I was about that age. I thought it seemed like the coolest job. I was probably most excited about the prospect of getting to root around in other people's trash. It seemed fun. Plus that awesome truck, which if you were *really* you got to hang off the back like some kind of public-works daredevil.

Yes! I have happy memories of yard-saling with my mom, and going to big flea markets and Goodwill with one of my sisters. Why dissuade you? Packrat?

I am reading a murder mystery featuring a yard saler this week.
