Date: 2004-03-04 10:00 pm (UTC)Hm...it doesn't say, does it?
Hm.
Well, as others have said elsewhere:
They self-describe as "hypnofolkadelic trad acid croft" music; in other words, take a Scottish ballad, have Jimi Hendrix play it backwards, add in Satan playing the fiddle from "Devil went down to Georgia," and have Underworld cast a skeptical eyeball at it. Rakish and whimsical, avant-garde but not inaccessible, falling somewhere between "alternative"
and "rock" on the celtic scale...well, they just can't be pigeonholed. I, personally, have been waiting to see them for the last nine years or so, and I dearly hope they live up to their albums.
Bass, Drums, Guitar, Banjo, Mandolin, Fiddle, and a metric ton of kick-ass.

Date: 2004-03-04 10:08 pm (UTC)So I'm not sure what you were hearing, but it may not sound at all representative. (and I've not actually heard their studio albums yet (ok, I have, but during massage, where they sounded really good, but I'm very suggestable then...:), but their live album is faboo and the show, well, the show was amazing.
