Ok, it's not that new, as it's been announced as the winner of the 2003 Tiptree Award.

I really like his work, in as much as this is his 3rd book in something like 10 or 15 years (The 1st two are Fool On The Hill and Sewer, Gas, Electric - The Public Works Trilogy (which I bought in hardcover the 1st time I saw it, and have since lost. If you borrowed it from me, I want it back.)

Woah! A third book! I *must* read it. Funny enough, I too lack my copy of Sewer, Gas, Electric. An ex has it, permanently at this point.

The link to tiptree seems to be not working, but I assume the book in question is Set This House In Order, which is really clever and engaging. (And as different from his first two books as his second was from his first.)
