So, I've gotten confirmation that the tune in question - still at http://www.lse.org/~jailbait/01-Techno-Nahoo.mp3 - is only the mystery tune...that it does NOT contain anything from Nahoo, just that the people who gave it to me have made a dance mix with the mystery tune and a piece by Nahoo.

So far lots of people like it, but noone knows what it is. I don't believe this!

I asked some friends (not on LJ). If you're getting too many hits let me know and I'll put up my own copy and relink.

After listening to it, I think it kind of sounds like something someone may have produced in Apple's Garageband. The sounds mostly sound like loops, and there's no real chords to the music that I could determine.

That's just a hunch, though.

I think it's been around for longer than GB...not that it couldn't be home studio work of some sort...

Hmmmmmmmm. It sounds a little like Celtic Cross, but I don't think it actually is. I've only heard parts of "Hicksville," which I believe is their only album; maybe see if you can dig up some samples?

Other wild shot-in-the-dark guesses would be Keltik Elektrik and Tartan Amoebas. I'm not expecting those to be right, but it wouldn't hurt you to check around.

No further info, but a bit of dis-info from a music-fiend friend:

no clue, unfortunately. Really reminds me of some of the
DDR-type songs, or possibly an anime track; isn't (and hasn't) been
played on the dance music scene within the last ten years.

Sorry not to be of more help on this one. :-/
