Or is it just that noone down here reads my LJ?

In Boston, I bought about 30 discounted tickets for folks. So far, I've been asked for 3 here.

My free tickets are going to a pair of Canadians - though the one other pair who replied aren't able to make it. Really, I expected a competition.

I'm puzzled.

You know a LOT more people in Boston than in DC ...

I had already seen it! :) And I didn't want to beg for free tickets from someone who seems to know more people in this area than I do even.

We read. Oh, btw, speaking of reading, I missed (if you posted it), the info on last weeks Wednesday evening performance, where there seemed to be quite a few messups, including one guy who seemed to hurt his leg. I was wondering if he was ok, and what had happened.

I would have liked to goto Cirq, but with me when someone offers up stuff for grabs I tend to have the "not picking the last roll off the dinner plate" syndrome.

I, personally, would love to go see the show (and getting to say hi to you would be an added bonus). But with the chaos here, I don't want to put that much money toward tickets (even with a discount) and then not be able to go.

I held off replying until I knew whether they were changing the deal, as they did for the last 2 weeks of Boston, but know.

15% off Tue-Thu eve (8pm),
2-for-1 Thu-Fri afternoon (4pm).
Class 2 or 3 only.

They don't like me taking money on site, so either paypal in advance (+a couple of % to cover their fees) or some other way of getting money to me.

I doubt (but am not certain) that I'll be getting downtown next Mon/Tue.

I do read your journal, but often I feel so overscheduled that the thought of doing anything additional and "fancy" (and which includes something as simple for others as going out and sitting in a restaurant for dinner - it's far less stressful for me to grab carryout and put my feet up at home) is overwhelming.

Also, I guess I've never really gotten the intense attraction of Cirque for some people - I saw what I would think of as a "Cirque-like" performance filling out Cher's [latest] Farewell Tour, and I kept waiting for them to get back to the singing. :) I realize it probably wasn't the same level of quality performance as Cirque itself would be, but the whole concept wasn't anything that excited _me_. *shrug* One size does not fit all.

This DC people is currently overscheduled and underfunded (quoth the Gospel of Brian: ". . .And so's my wife!").

Alas, alack, Aleut.

I would love to go! And so would a friend of mine. But I am a broke Raycho, so I haven't tried to buy any tickets off of you. And I was behind on LJ when you were giving them away.

It would be nifty to see you, though!

If it were still in Tyson's I'm sure I'd have gone long before now. I feel silly whining "It's sooo far away" to someone who's here from Boston, but there ya have it. ;) It's not that I don't read, it's that I am teh lame.

Yes. You are. I still like you, though.

I read your journal. But my schedule doesn't seem to want to cooperate (neither does hubby's night shift work). :(

I've been pondering asking, but since our social link is rather tenuous, I didn't want to be, "Hi! We hardly know each other! Can I, uh... schmooze cheap tickets?" :)

Oy. I've been pimping tickets for 2.5 months now.

Silly silly Meri.

We'll see if they've changed the offer for the last 2 weeks. Keep an eye out tonight...

No change. See my reply to cz_unit, above.

Does the management not care that so many discounted tickets have gone out (or is that the point--to sell tickets where they might not otherwise have done so?).

I'm wondering if I should treat my parents to the show!
Let me know a) if that's ok, b) if the deal is still going, and i'll run the idea by them.

There has never been anything said about "Only X tickets per employee". Rumor has it that they turn profitable at a very low % of seats sold, so this would all be gravy.

So A) It's fine, and B) Yup. Look at my reply to cz_unit above.

If you come to Pittsburgh, I'll definitely take tickets, and can probably find tons of friends to...
