So, in March, I was in MPLS.

I ate at Hell's Kitchen and had more of their yummy yummy Mahnomin Porridge.

I posted about this to [livejournal.com profile] food_porn and someone gave me a link to the recipe online at http://www.kstp.com/article/view/29631/

But that URL has aged out.

So I sent some mail:

Subject: Looking for an old article....

Around mid-march of this year, the following URL was valid:
http://www.kstp.com/article/view/29631/

Now it isn't.

As weird as it may seem, as the piece was one discussing a recipe for
porridge as made at Hell's Kitchen, I really really really want to find
that recipe.

Do you have an article archive that isn't searched by the Search field?
Can I pay someplace to get access to this piece?

Anything?

(I mean, I'm a sysadmin... I know what it's like to dig stuff like this
off of backup media... but I really wasn't expecting the link to go
invalid on me...)

Please?

Thanks so much,
JB Segal

Today, I got a reply!

This story is no longer available on the web.

I have attached to the end of this email for you.

and in my joy, I responded:
THANK YOU! A Million Thanks. Woo Hoo! and other such expressions of joy.

You have made my day... and quite possibly a number of breakfasts over
then next couple of months. :)

Thanks again,
JB

I had the recipe already--got it emailed by the nice folks at Hell's Kitchen. This is a request--for the sake of those of us whose eyes aren't what they once were, can you please not use that teeny-tiny print for large amounts of text. A superscripted number or something, sure, but not lines and lines of copy.

That's your browser that's mishandling the

wrapper.

It's interesting that they're willing to give it out now, as when I asked 2 years ago for some recipes, they said they didn't give them out.

It sounds scrumptous, JB. High calorie, but perfect for a cold day!

fat and carbs - what's not to like...

serve with extra fat and sugar, er cream and syrup - the stuff is made with that too. it's like saying "have a side of spam served with spam..." spam spam spam spam :)

that sounds delicious :) It's also funny that you mention [livejournal.com profile] food_porn since I just joined that community yesterday morning in a search for recipes :)

That's the sort of thing that archive.org is handy for.
