I was going to suggest the creation of a community to snark at the contents of http://www.livejournal.com/support/help.bml ...

But it's like shooting fish in a barrel. It's just nearly impossible to find an entry that you CAN'T snark.

In their defense, it is possible for a totally clueless person (me, in this case) to figure out how to put in a photo and do a text cut just by following the directions in the FAQ. I still haven't figured out how to indent the beginning of a paragraph, though. I always indent when I compose, and the spaces disappear when it is posted.

a little html...

It's a pain in the neck, but if it's really important to you, you can add:

<SPACER TYPE="horizontal" SIZE="30">

to the beginning of your paragraphs. "30" is the number of pixels, so you can adjust that up and down as you prefer.

But see, you know what's in the FAQ. You've obviously looked at it, like the instructions of 'what to do before posting a support request' say to.

You can also spell, punctuate and capitalize and realize that 'u', for example is not a valid word when writing a formal technical query.

I'd expect you to be one of the less snarkable ones.

(Have we met?)

Tech Squares. I'm close to clueless there, as well. I read your stuff because I often go into livejournal reading through Callyperry's friends, which is easier than setting up my own friends list. There is a lot of overlap. (lazy as well as clueless).

I went there to see if anyone else had reported the tag counting problem, and it was positively frightening!

If my entry is snarkable I plead 4am, but since I actually uncovered a bug, I don't feel too stupid :).
