Musical Discovery...
Sep. 3rd, 2003 02:36 amHm. At the 40th anniversary party of old family friends this weekend was someone I've vaguely known for most of my life...her parents are good friends of the family friends in question and all 3 of them were there.
Her name is Rosanne Raneri
It was not until after she'd left, however, that I found out that she's been doing the Singer/Songwriter/Folkie thing for most of the past 8-10 years...and so I'm listening to her stuff now. Good stuff. It takes me a while to really parse lyrics, but at the very least she's got a good voice and a musical feel that I like.
Of course, despite what the website says, she's no longer in metro-Boston, having headed back to Albany recently.
Ah well.
More CDs to get when I've got more money...
