I can not drown out my neighbor's analysis of his weekend bridge game without turning my headphones up higher than I feel safe doing (given the tinnitus I've been experiencing over the past 6 months).

I don't like playing bridge. I like listening about it even less.

sound iso headphones = useful, can play them softer and still not hear external stuff.
Come in ear-muff or ear-bud styles.

Yeah, a pair of Etys is on my wish-list and I'll have to get them soon, I think. The 4-5 y-o panasonics I have are full-ear cup style and mostly do fine, but he has a voice that carries...

Etymotic or other in-ear phones, or a set of decent cans aimed at people like DJs who need to hear the music in the cans, not the room.
