The last picture on that page, of the British Library, is of the "King's Library", which was the original core collection of the BL after being the personal collection of George III. The King's Library is housed in a glass tower within the public area of the library in order to keep the public accessibility in line with the terms of the bequest; the tower has two ranks of moveable shelving, with another significant 18th-century collection shelved in the second rank. The rest of the BL's collections are in closed stacks that aren't nearly so pretty.
