Tree cages?

Do you recognize these things?


They seem to be one form of a tree pit cage.

Cambridge has particularly nice (narrower - about 3' diameter) ones around Porter Sq.

What else might they be called?

Where might I get one?

Unfortunately, although New York has some excellent specimens of the species, I don't know the actual name for them. The less elegant ones (more like chainlink fences) are sometimes used to protect against deer, but I haven't come up with any brilliant Google searches to help there.
